Just Here For The Beer Competes At Ribberfest BBQ and Blues Festival

Our very own “Just Here For The Beer” competition BBQ team will compete this weekend in Madison Indiana at the Ribberfest BBQ and Blues Festival. The team, staffed by Hal and Janet Wagner will compete in the KCBS competition in what has come to be a very popular venue. So popular in fact that the teams were being warned that ice would be in short supply and that they would also have to very mindful of encroaching on others space because it is just at a premium there.

Not to be outdone by the 60 teams competing for BBQ honors, this is also a Blues Festival and an outstanding group of musicians will be playing there. They include: Jimmy Davis, Trampeled Underfoot, Nick Moss, Jimmy G Band, Tyler Mac, Eden Brent, Tad Robinson, John Hoy and the Bluefish and Robert Cray!!

Over $12,500 cash prizes will also be awarded to top three in Sauce, Anything But, and Dessert, as well as Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion. The top 3 finishers will receive cash & awards in BBQ Sauce, Anything Butt, and Dessert categories. Grand Champion possible qualifier for American Royale and Jack Daniels.
