Can Tracking BBQ Brainwaves Make You A Better Cook?
The clever folks at GE in Austin Texas have a BBQ R&D department centered out of Austin, Texas where they have come up with a wild smoker and a food taste testing department that will probably just “weird you out!”
They have two components to the R&D department with one being the wildest looking smoker that has all of these probes and monitoring sensors built into it that measures the usual things like temperature, air flow and meat temperature. The other thing is a tasting kitchen where participants wear monitoring devices on their heads to measure their response to different foods and tastes. This all part of GE’s role in food science!?
We hope that this R&D department will continue to share their findings so we can all get zero’d in on what really makes us happy about the food we make.
Also, just as a post note, this seems a little creepy! Should we be worried?
